"We are focused on the task ahead, but we aren't very serious, neither are we sad. We can't forget that a final isn't played every season, and now we will play a very difficult rival, who have the same chance of winning the match as us, although they maybe are a little more calmer," he stated. When asked about his formation for the final, Koeman said he wasn't sure if his compatriot Maduro would be able to play, and everything would depend on how he feels in their final training session before the big match. As well as this, he didn't confirm the presence of Fernando Morientes and David Villa in their starting eleven, even though they played well together in the Valencia attack against Racing de Santander on the weekend.
"Villa and Morientes need to be fed with the ball. There are also other players [in the squad] who can help the team," he said. But Koeman was reluctant to reveal the way his team would approach the title decider. Although this was the case, he told the press that the match is likely to be decided by a single goal, because it is a final. "We have a bigger name [than Getafe], but things have been difficult for us of late. But this doesn't mean anything, we are ninety minutes away from winning a title," he concluded.
