Roma defender Juan is likely to return to action against Catania
this weekend, while keeper Alexander Doni remains doubtful for the
final-day clash…
The Giallorossi will travel to the Stadio Massimino this weekend needing a win to have any hope of clinching the Scudetto.
The
Romans trail league leaders Internazionale by a single point heading
into the last day of the season, and can only sneak the title if the Nerazzurri slip up to relegation-threatened Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Juan
has been in and out of the side over the last month or so due to knee
problems, causing considerable instability in the Roma defence.
But
the Brazil international returned to training this week, as did his
central-defensive partner Philippe Mexes, who had been suffering from a
swollen knee.
Attackers Ludovic Giuly and Mirko Vucinic have recovered from muscular soreness, while midfielder Daniele De Rossi is also fit.
Doni
continues to struggle with a shoulder injury, but he is expected to
start regardless, having been a vital part of Roma’s revival this year.
